Seafaring Yachts 44
Seafaring d.o.o., Slovenia / 2015
Designing the Seafaring 44 and setting up the Seafaring Yachts brand.
PROJECT STARTING POINTS
Design of the exterior and interior of the yacht, 3D modeling of plastic parts and deign of furniture, yacht equipment, visual identity, press material, trade fair exhibition concepts and layouts.
The design and search for usability solutions were carried out in collaboration with Oceantec company and nautical architect Andrej Justin, who, together with the investor, was responsible for the basic concept. Our work, however, covered everything from modeling, rendering, design, and solutions at the usability level.
INTERIOR AND DECK DESIGN
Color studies, usability tests, thorough checks, 3D modeling, and consultations with a group of engineers and sailors were performed for each installed element.
The good thing about the project was that the team consisted of experienced sailors themselves and that they had enough time for quality performed work.
SKETCHING
Each of the elements had to be designed according to the overall vision of the boat. This was followed by the preparation of sketches and their conversion into 3D models. Before integrating them into the final product, there was a lot of tweaking and updating, to get them just right.
LOGO, VISUAL IDENTITY, PRINTED DESIGN AND FAIR PRESENTATION
Our work also included full visual support for the project. As this was the client’s first product, we started with logo design, followed by visual identity for the company. We also designed supporting materials for the fair presentation and produced all types of printed items: promotional catalogs, brochures, leaflets, and roll-ups.
